Once a duo from Brooklyn, NY consisting of guitar, drums and voice, David Greenhill and Jeff McLeod of The Double wrote their music around exploring that idea, which means something a bit more substantial, once one thinks about it. But then the drummer nearly severed his hand in a woodworking incident and shortly thereafter, the band got bigger (figuratively and literally, as they grew to a four-piece) and all big city on us and eventually signed to Matador.
